I think all the garden centres have quite a few trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants at at least half price at the moment. I went to Whitehall garden centre the other day and bought a black elder (sambuchus ?sp?) for £3, a patio laveteria for £4. At Palmer Garden Centre I bought a winter sweet for £2 and a thrift for 50p
