on freecycle im under barneysoldierandrew, otherwise known as claire ! i live in melksham with my three boys and i love my garden ! in all the years i have been gardening i have hardly ever paid full price for a plant/shrub or tree as i by the dieing ones and revive them with tlc and they come on fab ! leekes is the best for this ! the other week i had 200 pounds worth of plants for under 50 pound ! how great is that ! and i shared them with my mum, one peony was meant to be 25 pound and i paid 1 pound for it !
another bit of recycling on my part and saved them from the garden in the sky ! lol
i also keep chickens and sell eggs to happy customers and also study floristry at college . |

Hi Claire and welcome to the forum. I got a lovely pair of Acers the other day from a Freecycler in Chippy. Would probably have cost us a small fortune. _________________ Bob

Hi Claire and welcome Sounds like you've definitely got green-fingers! Great to get the kids involved young. We have only 3 chickens now - just right for us at the moment though.

thanks bob and carrie ! like i said glad to be here at last !
and as for chickens .. well i am in love and have been for the past three years now. today i rescued another 15 battery hens so i am now back up to 28 fully grown girls and my male bernard ! i also have four ducks that are 6 weeks old , 3 chicks of 5 weeks and i have just hatched three from my incubator so they arent even a week !
the most i have had is 50 which have slowly dwindled off and mrs fox had 7 a few weeks ago during cub season ! but now im on my way back to the original number !
they just make me laugh and unlike children they dont answer or argue back ! lol
im slowly getting the boys interested in the garden with my dads help as he has his greenhouse and at the moment they are growing beans and cabbages with him ! i think children need to learn where everything comes from and also with the price of food at the moment it is so much cheaper ! |
