Not sure if this going to work but I've sown some radishes in a rain gutter. Not sure if it's going to be deep enough but hey we'll soon find out.

I've used guttering to start off peas etc sometimes - you just slide them out of the end and don't have to disturb the roots. I found it important to keep the watering right. easy to dry out at the ends. It will be interesting to see how it goes.

They are in the garage which has a clear corrugated plastic roof and quite close to the house. In the heat I'll probably need to water them twice a day as the temperature regularly gets to around 95F.
