Merle gave an excellent talk and demonstration about cuttings this afternoon - very inspiring, thank you Merle Very Happy What was the name of those tip cuttings you showed us? - wonder if Percy T did manage to create 3000 plants from one fuschia in a year Cool This autumn I'm hoping to take all sorts of cuttings!!

Went straight home and did some of the tip cuttings with geraniums that I was intending to propagate. lets see what happens - do I have the green fingers of Merle, or not?

I'm no expert but the dozen or so Artemesia cuttings that it took a few weeks ago had a 90% success rate.

I trimmed up the host plant as it had become very leggy and used cuttings from the trimmings. The host is rejuvenated too. I am so pleased as it was my late mum's plant and a favourite of hers, she died in 1987 and the plant has to be around 40 years old. She always called it "Boys Love".

Wow Bob now I know what that bush is called I have had some for years and lots of friends have had cuttings. The last time I grew a cutting I made it into a standard and is now a lovely 4 foot high "tree" looks great. I only knew it as "Boys Love". Very Happy
